Boric and his support for Ukraine: “It’s not that we don’t like Putin”

President Boric was one of the speakers at the summit in support of Ukraine. During his speech, the president explained the reasons why he supports the European country in the war against Russia.

“Dear heads of state, why is a country so far from this war, like Chile, participating in this summit? It’s not because we don’t like Putin, who I personally don’t like, or because we have sympathy for Mr. Zelensky.. It is not because we support NATO enlargement, or because we are part of a geopolitical coalition puzzle. It is because we, as a small country in the south of the world, with our 20 million inhabitants, “We are aware that only respect for international law and human rights can guarantee peace.”he declared.

Besides, compared the conflict in Ukraine and Russia with that of Gaza and Israeland reviewed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in harsh terms: “We do not accept to choose between the barbarism of Hamas or the massacre that the Israeli government, led by the world’s criminal, Mr. Netanyahu, is doing today. “We choose humanity and civilizational advances,” she said.

“Today it is Ukraine and Palestine, and tomorrow it could be any of us. So let us continue to work together for peace,” she concluded.
