The Latin American cities that stand out are the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (42nd place), Santiago de Chile (50th), Mexico City (85th), São Paulo (97th), Bogotá (110th), Monterrey (112th), Lima (126th). and Rio de Janeiro (146).

The ranking is based on several indicators related to the opinion of students, universities, accessibility, quality of life, employment and diversity.

Santiago de Chile It has the highest concentration of top-level universities in Latin America according to the World University Rankings indicator, ranking ninth in the world, a higher position than the previous year.

Buenos Aires leads in the Student Mix indicator and it is the only Latin American city among the top 100, ranking 52nd.

– Buenos Aires is also highly desirable as a study and living destination, ranking 93rd on the Desirability indicator, closely followed by Santiago at 96th.

– All Latin American cities are well positioned in the Employer Activity indicator, standing out Mexico City as regional leader.

Lime It is the most affordable city for students in Latin America, ranking 37th in this indicator.

San Pablo is the only Latin American city that maintains its position in the current edition of the ranking, improving in four of the six QS indicators.

The study included cities with a minimum population of 250,000 inhabitants and at least two universities in the World University Rankings.
