A new wave of Russian attacks on Kharkiv left at least one dead this Sunday, material damage and part of Ukraine’s second largest city without electricitya day after another attack caused two deaths and more than fifty wounded.

“Part of Kharkiv is without electricity, the metro has stopped. Let’s restore everything and return it to normal. Maximum effort to deprive the Russians of the opportunity to terrorize our cities,” he stated.
In addition, he called on Ukraine’s allies for “modern anti-aircraft defenses, strong combat aviation, long-range weapons and sufficient determination.”
The mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terejovexplained in televised statements that today’s shelling has caused damage in the Shevchenkivski and Kholodnohirski districts.
For his part, the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubovreported that today’s attacks have caused eleven injuries, including one person who is in serious condition and two adolescents aged 15 and 16, while The fatal victim is a 73-year-old man.
The previous day, the Ukrainian authorities had reported three deaths due to the Russian attacks, a figure that was later corrected to two, and 56 wounded, including two minors, in the city located about 30 kilometers from the front.
This new wave of attacks comes a day after Russia attacked the city with guided aerial bombs.

Among the deceased is a woman who was waiting at a tram stop, a man who was in the center of the impact site and a security guard who was a few meters away. Among the injured, meanwhile, there are two minors, 12 and 13 years old.

“This morning the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive attack with long-range, high-precision naval-based weapons against a training center for pilots and technical personnel of the Ukrainian Air Force,” the military agency said.
He indicated that “the target was hit and destroyed”without specifying its location.
Ukraine, however, has not reported any Russian attacks on its air infrastructure.
The Russian command noted in its part that the units of the military groupings Zapad (West), Yuzhnaya (South), Tsentr (Center) and Vostok (East), improved their tactical positions and took more advantageous heights in the regions of Kharkiv, Lugansk , Donetsk, eastern Ukraine.
