The passport is a travel document that serves as identification and its main advantage is that it opens the door to new destinations, which people may not have had the opportunity to know yet.
In some cases and depending on the nationality, this instrument serves as a key to travel to different countries without having to do other mandatory procedures to request access, such as a visa.
A ranking made by Visa Guide Word in June 2024 revealed which are the best passports for traveling and Latin America is present with three countries.
The most powerful passport in the world is the Singapore passport and people who have this can travel to 168 countries without needing a visa. The Asian country’s document surpassed that of Italy and Spain.

With a score of 91.15 against 90.49 and 90.48, respectively, this country takes all the honors. It is not the first time that Singapore has been chosen as the country with the best passport; in 2017 and 2023 it was also the winner, displacing Japan.
The 2024 edition includes the 199 passports in the world and in the first places are Singapore, Italy, Spain, France, Hungary. In Latin America the panorama is different, since the country that has the most access through its passport is Chile, which allows entry to 117 countries without the need for a visa.
The second place is occupied by Argentina, whose passport allows them to travel to 174 nations without a visa. In the next place is Brazil, since its citizens can open the doors of 173 countries as tourists, without the need for additional documents.
