Amount of the 2024 National Holidays Bonus
The amount of the 2024 National Holidays Bonus for pensioners is $24,261, with an additional $12,446 for each family member.
And the amount for public workers is divided into two categories:
- $85,093: for those who have a net salary equal to or less than $984,282 as of August 2024.
- $59,071: for those who have a net salary greater than $984,282 as of August 2024.
Requirements to apply for this benefit
Requirements of the National Holidays Bonus for pensioners:
Persons who, as of August 31, 2024, are pensioned under one of the following modalities:
- IPS who have a Universal Guaranteed Pension or a Basic Solidarity Disability Pension.
- Former provident funds and former Social Security Service (currently IPS).
- Occupational Safety Institute.
- Employers’ Mutual Societies.
- Political Exonerations.
- For repair: Law No. 19,123 (Rettig) and Law No. 19,992, including the survivors’ pensions of the seventh transitional article of Law No. 20,405 (Valech).
- AFP or insurance companies that receive PGU, Solidarity Pension Contribution (Old Age or Disability) or minimum pensions with State Guarantee.
- Beneficiaries of disability benefits.
- Coal compensation beneficiaries.
Requirements of the National Holidays Bonus for public workers:
Workers who, as of August 31, 2024, hold plant or contract positions in entities such as:
- State universities.
- Preschools financed by JUNJI.
- Sectors of the State Administration that have been transferred to municipalities.
- Private educational establishments subsidized by the State.
- Technical and Professional Education Establishments.
- Institutions recognized as collaborators of Sename or its legal successor.
- Legal Assistance Corporations.

The Fiestas Patrias Bonus is automatically awarded to those who meet the established requirements. Pensioners will receive it along with their September pension, while public employees will receive it along with their September salary.
