Venezuelan President highlights strength of relations with China (+Post)

“It is a sincere alliance to build a new, more peaceful and humane world,” the head of state said on the digital platform X.

Maduro stated that this day “we celebrate with great happiness 50 years of a friendship that is unbreakable, unbreakable and at all times.”

The South American leader sent “a big hug to my older brother President Xi Jinping and to all the Chinese people.”

China and Venezuela always united, he stressed.

In an audiovisual accompanying the message, Commander Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) told the “comrades and companions of China, that here we have raised the flags of socialism.”

The Bolivarian leader said that the relations between China and Venezuela demonstrated “it is not necessary to trample other peoples to be a world power.”

He stressed that Beijing and Caracas feel “like brothers, like equals, complementing each other, mutually learning from each other” and assured that they will “always act as true brothers of China.”

In the video, Maduro said he greatly appreciated “the friendship we have cultivated over 50 years of China-Venezuela relations.”

The Bolivarian dignitary highlighted that the Asian giant is an example in the world of how it has achieved sustainable development that impacts the entire world.

“China has already become a superpower of peace,” he stressed, and sent his greetings to the Chinese people.

The leaders exchanged messages this Friday, regarding the commemoration, in which they ratified the solid ties of union and brotherhood that are expressed in the comprehensive strategic alliance of all times, promoted by President Xi Jinping last year.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on June 28, 1974, and to date they have signed more than 600 cooperation agreements in various sectors of the economy, science, health, education, mining, aerospace, among others.
