The “Spaces of Silence” by Antonio Sarelli
Female faces predominate in his production, which are present in this exhibition, as well as there will be some new compositions. Meanwhile, in the work of this great master of painting, his figuration goes beyond resemblance and his creative production brings us a world of beauty.
Therefore, he is an artist who, with his craft, fills those who admire his creations with emotions.
Regarding this new exhibition, which will be held in the department where Sarelli currently resides, he comments: “Beyond the fact that I was born in Maipú, from a very young age I felt deeply rooted in Godoy Cruz. I have spent much of my life in this department that I appreciate so much. I have also chosen it as my place of life.”

And, continuing with his story, he continues: “This is the second inauguration that I am going to do in the Cristóforo Colombo space. It is very important for me to return to this place. The work in the exhibition is a look at interior spaces and silences. It is a kind of meditation that I think we need in this turbulent world in which we currently live. That is my reflection regarding this exhibition,” he concluded.
Antonio Sarelli was born on August 26, 1936 in the department of Maipú, Mendoza. He graduated as a Professor from the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts. In this same institution he served as a professor and participated in the training of new generations of artists.
His works belong to private collections both in Argentina and in countries in America, Europe and Asia. They are even found in National and International Museums. Throughout his career he won 18 important awards in Provincial and National Salons.

For his outstanding artistic career he has received important recognition both at the provincial and national level. His numerous exhibitions in the country and abroad have achieved resonance among specialized critics and have positioned him among the most important artists in Argentina.
