The Official State Gazette (BOE) publishes this Saturday the organic law on artistic education, the first norm approved this legislaturewhich will come into force within 20 days.

The law, which was approved on May 23, regulates higher artistic education, its centers and teaching staff; includes the rights and duties of the student bodyestablishes aspects about your organization and equates them to university students.

The rule affects some 140,000 artistic education students and more than 14,000 teachers, “dignifies” students and teacherssupports the entire sector and protects professionals with mobility and international approval.

News of the law:

  • Inclusion of Audiovisual Arts and Creative Writing, and the option for these higher educations to be opened to other disciplines such as circus.
  • Recognition of academic unemploymentas stated in the recent Organic Law of the University System.
  • Allowed combine teaching activity with artistic job hiring.
  • Create four new teaching bodies: professors and professors of Higher Education; professors and professors of Professional Education, and Workshop Teachers.
  • Students will have the same guarantees as students from any EU country as their qualification has the same recognition and homologation.
  • Internship students will contribute to the Social Security like those of FP.
  • Students will be able to receive a scholarship under the same conditions as university students.
  • Enables the creation of “Arts Campus“.
