Several generations merged with the joy that comes from living again and being part of the present. This is how students from the Classes of 1971 and 1975 participated in the exhibition, with photos, newspaper clippings, paintings, and period books. They contributed memories, anecdotes and, especially, recognition of teachers who are no longer here.
There was an exhibition of graduate jackets, more typical of these times. On the first floor, one of the outstanding stands that was prepared by the 6th Natural students was the one on the germination of chia, flax and lentil seeds, which with a practical germination system and rigorous care, allows 10 days can be multiplied.
At the presentation of the digital magazine, students wore period clothing. There was a projection of digitized images from all times where students, teachers, moments in class, on walks, at recess, at dances were shown.
On the other hand, the public and groups of students from other schools who visited the exhibition were able to enjoy interactive games, a timeline, craft magazines, and the little ones were curious to know about the use of the bolillero.
The bolillero was installed at the stand with record books from the beginnings of the National School. These are written in Gothic script and detail the names of the students of that time who have been recorded for posterity as “don” or “doña.” Below, the columns with the subjects taken and their averages.
They also prepared with newspaper covers, especially from EL CHUBUT, different moments in the life of the National School. They alluded to the seven mayors of Trelew who were students of the School: Alfredo García and Horacio Gómez (now deceased), José Gatica, Gustavo Mac Karthy, Máximo Pérez Catán, Adrián Maderna and Gerardo Merino.
It was possible to see atlases, biology and botany books that were used to study until 40 years ago, dictionaries, an astrolabe for astronomy classes and even embroidery machines for crafts classes.

NOSTALGIES
With different rhythms, the ensemble “We got together yesterday” was presented on stage, led by Fabián Chodilef, Music teacher at School 747, and the Official Band of 360 de Arte Multiespacio.
The girls from the Class of 1975 presented themselves with a banner and were full of laughter and memories of their time at the National, with many newspaper clippings from EL CHUBUT at the stand. Just like the representatives of the Class of 1971, headed by Graciela Puente, who ordered t-shirts and hats to be printed in tribute to the Centennial of the National School.
The graduates of these times displayed their jackets in a prominent place in the gym. Also, outside, the collective for students of the Agrarian Section, acquired in 1971, was exhibited.
The projection of digitized photographs was also very enjoyed, since there are photos from the beginning of the National, those from the ’70s and ’80s, with fashions from those years.
Today, from 7 p.m., the different promotions will march from the old building on Sarmiento Street to the current one, with banners, songs, candles, lanterns and many souvenirs.
