He Provincial Historical Museum October 17 Quinta San Vicente will present this Saturday, June 8, at 4:00 p.m., the book “Perón. A biography of the 21st century with the participation of its author Araceli Bellotta. The proposal, with free entry, is part of the activities promoted by the Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires.

Araceli Bellotta, feminist and Peronist activist, journalist and historian, addresses the study and investigation of the life of Juan Domingo Perón fifty years after his death. To the decades in which she collected information and documents, she adds her valuable and very personal contribution for having worked alongside men and women who shared their days with the General. Furthermore, with the passage of time, new more current documents and research appeared, which respond to the “human need to look again at the past to understand it better, even to find lines that allow us to unravel the present,” because it is inevitable that the perspective changes and expands over the years.

Thus, the author managed to fulfill one of her “obsessions” with this book: finding the words of Perón himself explaining each topic, detailing the context in which they were pronounced and providing the greatest amount of historical data for a superior interpretation. And, finally, also their desire that this work serves to understand us better, especially thinking about the youngest, who have the need and duty to know and question a past of which they were neither witnesses nor causes, but of which they are. inevitably heirs.

“Thinking about the new generations, I wrote this biography with the intention of investigating how their thinking was formed and its evolution over time. But also with the effort to unravel his feelings and experiences,” declared Bellota.
