The La Calera Heritage Corporation is inviting the community to the book launch “Heart of Limestone. Cazaleyendas live”, a work by Osvaldo Godoi that will be presented this Wednesday, June 12, at 3 p.m., at the Alejandro Silva de la Fuente Municipal Librarylocated in O’Higgins almost on the corner of Calle 33.

Guillermo Cabrera, member of the La Calera Heritage Corporation, explained that On the occasion, the project “Stories and legends of La Calera, an approach to our local identity” will be presented and delivered. whose product is a book of biographical and anecdotal stories of local characters and that also includes popular Calerana legends, presented with a new perspective and focused on the young reading public.

In conversation with Mauricio Valencia from Radio “Quillota Observador”, Guillermo Cabrera He highlighted that one of the chapters he liked the most in the book is the one titled “El Lalo, birthday collector.”. “El Lalito, who recently left us, gave a special meaning to people’s birthdays,” he commented, adding that these types of stories end up becoming local legends.

Another notable part of the book is the one that addresses popular legends.which contains “The Man in Black”, “The Devil’s Stone”, “The Ghost of the Music Teacher”, among others, stories that in the book are “hunted” by students.
