About Armando Lucas Correa

He is a Cuban writer and journalist with more than 20 years of experience in the Hispanic media. He was for fourteen years the editor in chief of People en Español, the Hispanic magazine with the largest circulation in the United States. In the 1990s he worked as a reporter at the newspaper El Nuevo Herald in Miami, and before that he was editor of the performing arts magazine Tablas, in Havana, Cuba. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theaterology and Dramaturgy from the Higher Institute of Art in Havana. Correa has received several awards from the National Association of the Hispanic Journalists and the Society of Professional Journalists.
