The book “Amicizia” (Piemme) by Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See, is the winner of the 12th edition of the Cardinal Michele Giordano Prize. The second place was obtained by the volume “They also killed the children.” (Ares), by Don Paweł Rytel-Andrianik, head of the Polish section of Vatican Radio – Vatican News, and Manuela Tulli, ANSA Vatican correspondent. Third place for text “John XXIII and Paul VI” (Morcelliana) by the historian Marco Roncalli. Special award for volume “Theology in the relationship” (Città Nuova) by Don Alessandro Gargiulo, professor of Trinitarian theology at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy, San Tommaso section, parish priest of Maria SS. of Buon Rimedio in the district of Scampia and dean of the VIII deanery of the archdiocese of Naples.

The award ceremony
The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., in Naples, Italy, at the Basilica of the Incoronated Mother of Good Counsel and will be presided over by the Archbishop of Naples, Monsignor Domenico Battaglia, president of the Cardinal Michele Giordano Prize. The recognition is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Naples and the Order of Journalists of the Campania region.
