- Zicosur-FILZIC International Book Fair, Sitio Cero, Av Grecia s/n (next to the Plaza Antofagasta mall), Antofagasta.
- Tuesday, July 2 – 6:00 p.m.
The Antofagasta writer Carlos Rendón will be presenting his novel “Reptilia” at Filzic. The work is set on an island in southern Chile and is a thriller starring three teenagers.
Synopsis
In a forgotten corner of southern Chile is the island of San Millalobo. A place of ancient traditions and dark rites, where the echo of a warning resonates on its slopes: “no one must escape.”
Villagers hunt and burn lizards to welcome a new year, as part of a ritual. But the scales don’t burn the same way as skin. In the center of this chaos, three young people will discover the truth. A horror that comes to light, as inevitable as the worst of diseases.
The beasts return with another size. The villagers turn into reptiles. A voracious appetite hangs over them.
