Leonardo Mezzetti and his new book that combines stories and illustrations

On Wednesday afternoon, the fifth book by Leonardo Mezzetti titled “Stories of madness, horror and death told by animals” was presented.
The author, several writers and cultural actors from the city met in the central room of the Credicoop Bank in Trelew. Juan Espin, Manager of Banco Credicoop, participated in the reception of the guests at the event.
In addition to presenting his book, Leonardo Mezzetti exhibited some paintings, an exhibition that was presented by Omar Mollo, who provided a portrait of Mezzetti as a visual artist.
The welcome was given by the president of the Associate Commission of Banco Credicoop, Branch 146, Trelew, Moira Torne. Julia Chaktoura then introduced the audience to the themes of the texts that make up the new production of the visual artist and writer.
When Leonardo Mezzetti took the floor, he spoke about his paintings on display, the motifs he incorporated when expressing himself with the brush and then described his career that took him from painting to writing.
In this latest production, Leonardo Mezzetti addresses the fears and terror that are part of our lives and society. Chaktoura read one of the texts titled “The Journey” and Mezzetti completed the presentation, at the request of one of the attendees, talking about drawing techniques, the interaction between the arts and mentioned that every artistic exhibition helps to reflect on our society.

About the Author

Leonardo Darío Mezzetti was born in Santa Fe on March 27, 1962. He studied at the José Figueroa Alcorta School of Fine Arts in Córdoba and at the Trelew Multipurpose Art Center from where he graduated as a National Master of Drawing. In the city of La Plata, he studied and graduated as a Museum Technician in 1999 and as a Museologist in 2000. He is a painter, writer, draftsman, sculptor and engraver. He was a teacher in the artistic area in middle and high school schools. He exhibited his works in various cities of Chubut and Argentina. He also abroad: Germany, Cuba, Italy, the United States and Mexico. Currently, he is Director of the Multi Cultural Space of the Patagonia Tercer Milenio Foundation of Trelew and has edited five books.
