Authored by prominent sports editor Héctor J. Cruz, the production of the documentary and book “El Chilote” premiered at the León Center in Santiago.

Cruz highlighted that this tribute is made for a man like Winston Enriquillo Llenas Dávila (Chilote) who has given Dominican baseball six decades accumulating all possible successes. He pointed out that for ten months he worked with Chilote Llenas and his family to achieve both the documentary and the book, accumulating great experiences on both sides. Fills that in addition to being a player, he was a leader, manager, advisor, executive and president of the Águilas Cibaeñas in which he has achieved championships in all his roles.

Cruz also thanked Vitelio Mejía, president of Lidom, and the press director Satosky Terrero for their support, and those who participated in the documentary, including Kevin Cabral (voice of the documentary), Marino Vázquez, Rolando Eduardo Fermín, and Bienvenido -Tuto- Tavarez (writer of the documentary), as well as his production team. On his side, Llenas thanked his wife and his daughters for their support and understanding during his career, and all the people who supported him in this documentary.

“I am a man with many flaws, but despite them, I am one of the most grateful people and that is why I thank Hector and his entire team for this recognition that shows the facts of my career in baseball for six decades,” said Llenas.

Meanwhile, Mejía valued the effort made by Cruz, highlighting the contribution this documentary means to baseball. Héctor J. Cruz also has more than 60 works in his portfolio, 14 Dominican Winter Baseball Yearbooks, 12 editions of the Dominican Yearbook in the Major Leagues, 10 editions of the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean Series, and two about the country in the Pan American Games .
