The 39th edition of the Cádiz Book Fair began yesterday at the Baluarte de la Candelaria with the opening of the exhibitions, the first book presentations and the inaugural event, a living expression of a fair dedicated to music, starring the writer Benjamin Prado and the singer Shuarma.

The fair also begins today an intense weekend that will begin at 11:30 with the presentation of the Mexican magazine ‘Cultura de Veracruz’ directed by Raúl Hernández Viveros, with the presence of Jesús Fernández Palacios, José Ramón Ripoll and José Manuel García Gil.

At 12:00, ‘Work and files of Juan de la Zaranda’ will be presented, with the participation of Pepe Bablé, Antonio Castaño and Mercedes Martínez. At the same time, Benjamín Prado will sign his work ‘The General’s Ring’. And at 12:30 p.m., in the Rafael de Cózar Room, the meeting ‘Two poets of the South’ will be held, with José Mateos and Eduardo Jordá.

In the afternoon, at 7:30 p.m. at the Fernandito Quiñones Ludoteca, the romantic literature book ‘Although it rains in spring’ by Cherry Chic will be presented with the participation of Patri La Atrapasueños.

Tomorrow, Sunday, the programming will begin at 11:30 at the Espacio Pilar Paz Pasamar with the presentation of number 6 of the magazine ‘Alikindoi’. At 12:00 pm ‘Space Odyssey’ will be presented. The flamenco texts of Carlos Lencero’, with Pepe Begines and Hugo Sánchez Rey. At 12:00 noon the children’s literature book ‘La luna’ by Mamen Puertas will be presented.

At 8:00 p.m., in the Ana Rossetti space, José Antonio Lucero will sign copies of his work ‘The Teacher’, while in the Rafael de Cózar room, at the same time, the comic ‘I am a murderer’, by Pedro Arjona based on the work of David Pérez Merinero, who will be present with Bruto Pomeroy.

Also at 8:00 p.m. there will be a tribute to the booksellers Manuel de Falla, Juan Manuel Fernández and Mari, with the presence of Carlos Porras, current manager after the reopening of the bookstore, and the writer Benito Olmo.

At 8:30 p.m. at the Pilar Paz Pasamar Space, ‘Amalia’s recipes’, by Alex O’ Dogherty, will be presented with the presence of Manuel Ruiz Torres. At the same time, the saga ‘Julia and the Mortimort’, by Raquel Díaz Reguera, will be presented.
