What to take into account when turning on gas heating

There are some small and simple tips to keep in mind to avoid poisoning due to equipment in poor condition.

  • Check that the burner uses the correct oxygen. This implies that the flame burns properly and does not have “interferences” or “puffs” or is irregular.
  • Check the color of the burn. In the case of screens or infrared, the burn-in should be a deep orange to red, and uniformly across the entire screen.
  • Check the color of the flame. In appliances that use flames, such as heaters, for example, you must check that the flame is light blue, from the base of the burner, and at no time should the tips be orange.
  • Do not obstruct the device. A bad habit is to use the heater to dry clothes or similar. Avoiding this practice will help prevent a fire or worse situations.
  • Don’t stop doing maintenance. It is essential not only for the operation of the device itself, but also for the connections that precede the device.
