Madrid, May 6 (EFECOM).- Solaria has purchased 435MwH of photovoltaic modules at a price of 9.11 euro cents per watt from a Tier 1 manufacturer, which will mean an outlay of 396 million euros, the company has been informed. to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

In a note, the company explains that the installation of these modules is planned for its 700 MW Garoña photovoltaic complex. take place in 2024.

This price level represents an improvement of 2.15% compared to the last purchase in December 2023 and a reduction of 71% compared to 2022 prices, Solaria explains.

The Santa María de Garoña nuclear power plant, which has completed its useful life (41 years), will be replaced by a green energy facility, a project that began construction last March after receiving the necessary authorizations and is financed by the European Bank of Investments and by Banco Santander.

The four plants that make up this project will generate an income of 650 million euros in total for public administrations during the 30 years of useful life of the plant, adds the note, which highlights that 2,400 jobs will be created during the construction of the park.

Likewise, it points out that this photovoltaic solar park will produce electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of the entire province of Burgos, and will be capable of supplying 300,000 homes.

The shares of Solaria, which experienced its best year to date in 2023, after earning 107 million euros, 19.4% more, recorded an advance of 4.21% to 10 at the close of the stock market session last Friday .28 euros. EFECOM
