With the aim of promoting easy and secure mobile payments for its customers, BBVA in Argentina enabled the possibility of paying with BBVA cards through the Apple Pay application, available on iPhone and Apple Watch.
For Apple users, this new payment method is not only simple and can be made with items that are used daily, such as cell phones and smart watches, but it also protects data. With Apple Pay, card information is not saved on the device and is not shared at the time of payment.
Those who want to use BBVA credit and debit cards with this ‘contactless’ payment method must follow a series of steps to incorporate them into Apple’s virtual wallet. How to do it?
The procedure changes depending on the device through which they are added. In all cases, it is necessary to download the BBVA App and have a secure cell phone registered (SMS key) from an ATM or BBVA branch.
If the cards are incorporated from the BBVA App, you must log in, choose the credit or debit card you want and press the “Add to Apple Wallet” option. From there, you must follow the steps requested on the screen. It is important to note that in order to do this it is necessary to have downloaded the most recent version of the ‘app’ and have the cell phone certified or active digital ‘token’.
If you choose to add the cards using an iPhone, you must enter the Apple Wallet and press “+”. There the system will ask you to enter the card details and the security code.
Finally, to add them to the watch it is also necessary to use your cell phone.. To do this, you must open Apple Watch on the iPhone, select “Wallet and Apple Pay”, press “Add credit or debit card” and follow the steps.
A valuable fact to keep in mind is that it is possible to add a card to Apple Wallet despite having been previously deleted.
