Jeep is a very special brand in itself. Those from Toledo, Ohio, have to change course without losing sight of their history. Its great contribution to the world is off-road vehicles and although that branch has been gradually dissipating in recent years, the future only has one focus, electric. The company had already provided concrete details to electrify several important segments, but until now it had not specified anything regarding the most priority segment of all, that of B-SUVs. Now, now confirmed, we can know that The Jeep Renegade will become the long-awaited 25,000 euro electric SUV of the American house.

That represents a significant script change for one of the brand’s most popular cars. Its original launch occurred in 2014 and was for many the turning point that Jeep needed to face a new stage further away from the countryside and more focused on volume. A B-SUV that, despite its size, continued to show good off-road capabilities with the usual details of the house. During these years, the Renegade has become a fundamental piece of the company, being the house’s best-selling model in all markets. That position of honor will now be taken away by the Jeep Avenger.

The year 2027 seems especially critical for Jeep’s commercial interests.

Below 25,000 euros and an approximate size of 4.2 meters

In fact, it was thought that with the appearance of the Avenger the Renegade was going to disappear, but nothing could be further from the truth. During the annual Jeep convention, those from Ohio have made it very clear what their strategy is for the coming years and it includes the Renegade. It is true that the published strategy focuses on the United States, but Since its integration into the orbit of the Stellantis Group, Jeep has opted for a global range. All products are sold in all markets, with exceptions such as the Avenger, which is too small for North America and the Grand Wagoneer, which seems excessive for the Old Continent.

As the slides specify, 2027 is going to be a particularly important year for the brand’s interests. The plan is to achieve 85% market coverage offering renewed products and a larger family of models. The family will be structured into two clearly defined branches. On the one hand there are purely off-road models such as the Wrangler, which will have a 100% electric version, and the Gladiator. The rest of the family is compartmentalized into the usual market segments, with segment B being the one that should focus all our attention.

The new Renegade will have a BEV variant with a price of less than 25,000 euros.

In it we see the relaunch of the Renegade, while another slide specifies that the small SUV will have a fully electrified version whose target sales price is less than $25,000. This model will also be present in Europe, so it will be added to the house’s EV offering, initially made up of the Avenger, the Recon and the Wagoneer S, in addition to the Renegade, of course. It is expected to make use of Stellantis’ shared electric platform, STLA-Small. This will allow you to have access to the newest technology and the widest mechanical offer of all. It is possible that it will be launched first in Europe and then in the United States, although Jeep has not commented on this.
