Ercros expects to record a result that is between 0 and -2 million euros in the first half of this year, compared to the 16.5 million euros it recorded between January and June 2023, as reported by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). Furthermore, the Catalan firm has placed its forecast for ordinary gross operating profit (Ebitda) between 20 and 25 million euros, which represents a decrease of 55.75% and 44.7%, respectively, compared to 45. 2 million euros that it registered in the first half of 2023. Sales of finished products, for its part, have been between 345 and 355 million euros, while estimating a contribution of between 120 and 125 million euros for this first half of the year. The company has recalled that these last two figures compare with sales of 419.5 million euros and a contribution of 144.9 million euros between January and June 2023. Ercros has highlighted that the estimate has been made on the basis of the results closed to the month of May and the visibility of the market in June. In this context, the company has explained that the results for the first half of 2024 have been negatively affected by the “forces majeure” declared by two of its suppliers, which have negatively affected production and sales for the period. “Despite the corrective actions carried out, we estimate the extent of these incidents to be a reduction in Ebitda of between 2 and 3 million euros,” Ercros said.
