In this sense, More has insisted on pursuing the professionalization of entities so that they are sustainable over time. To achieve this, he pointed out, digitalization and new resources such as Artificial Intelligence are of great help. In fact, some entities like ASINDOWN integrate it into their project. The person in charge of the Educational Stage area, Carolina Muñoz, has explained how in her project AI will facilitate reading for people with disabilities and other groups.

A growing initiative

Since the initiative was launched in 2019, More than 5.2 million euros have been donated by more than 120 NGOs. For Ana Belén García, what makes this initiative really different is “its maximum coverage and diversity, which is achieved thanks to: the amount, which places BBVA at the head of the country’s solidarity funds; the geographical coverage, since when divided into zones it is like 5 calls in one; and the fact that it is a 100% open call compared to other types of closed listings.”

The donation is made from part of the commission of the BBVA Futuro ISR fund, which currently has 1.9 billion euros of assets under management and 67,000 participants. It is allocated to projects that impact social inclusion, the environment, care for dependent people, health and the elderly, an area already incorporated in this latest edition: the generation of employment in vulnerable groups. According to Ana Belén García, the large number of projects in this field presented and the great need, given the low employment rates of the group, merited the creation of a specific category.
