Another specialty coffee shop is opening in a strategic location in downtown Rosario. Something Coffee (formerly known as The Coffee) opened its doors at 1547 Wheelwright, as the initial stage of a plan whose goal is to generate a franchise model. The proposal comes from two friends and partners, Brian Pieckenstainer, entrepreneur with several years of experience in the gastronomic field; and Matias FanucciBachelor of Business Administration.

The store is the brand’s second, while the first is located on Bv. Rondeau 2368. In reality, the proposal had started in 2021 under the La Café brand and at the beginning of this year it changed its identity and became Alguito Café. The downtown location reflects the same proposal as the original, that is, the same aesthetics, menu and prices. “With this opening, we seek to generate a value proposition to create other franchises in the future,” said Pieckenstainer, who is in turn one of the partners of recognized brands such as Cosme and Brutal Burger.

Alguito Café Centro has 126 m2 and is located near the waterfront where the ice cream parlor used to be located. Mallow. “We chose this strategic area because we thought, in addition to consumption in the premises and Orders Now, sell on the go, for example, the idea is that people who go to the park buy to take away and consume there. Of course, our focus is always on-site service, we have a place inside and a sidewalk with tables,” explained the entrepreneur.

Why Alguito Café? It means “coffee with something to accompany it”: in addition to the specialty coffee shop, they stand out for their range of pastries and pastries. The coffee is served on ceramic tableware and is made by trained baristas who make latte art, and offer quality brands such as Import Coffee Company. With regard to pastries and cakes, they consider it of utmost importance to take care of the product they offer.

The menu includes breakfast, lunch and snacks and is suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and non-tactile. The Salad Bar at noon consists of an executive menu, where the customer assembles their salad to taste with different ingredients.

“We have a benefits program for regular customers, which includes discount cards. We want to make it as accessible as possible, so the discount card is valid for both locations. On the other hand, we have Pedidos Ya since day one. Also, for those who want to come with their pets, we are Pet Friendly,” said Pieckenstainer.

Local in the northern area

In 2021, La Café opened on Bv. Rondeau 2368, led by three partners. One of them is Brian Pieckenstainer, who earlier this year took the reins and transformed the brand in partnership with his father. From there, Alguito Café was born, with a completely different identity, aesthetics and product offering, with specialty coffee as its flagship.

After his success at the northern location, the entrepreneur decided to take the next step and open another branch. With this opening he seeks to start a franchise model with his friend and partner, Fanucci.
