For some time now, many celebrities from the world of TV, music and cinema have fallen in love with the world of wine. Mendoza has already received many investors from these universes with the dream of having their own vineyard in “the land of sun and good wine”, or at least, their own wine.
One of the celebrities who has achieved this is Marcelo Tinelli. The renowned fan of San Lorenzo, producer, driver and one of the most important businessmen in the country is the owner of Lorenzo de Agrelo, and together with Hernán De Laurente, his partner, he arrives more and more often to the province of Cuyo to learn more about the details of this undertaking, learn about wine making, and even to participate in the harvest, in the middle of the harvest season.
Marcelo is a close friend of Alejandro Vigil, alma mater of El Enemigo Wines, Universo Vigil and Winemaking Manager at Catena Zapata. Tinelli chose this weekend to rest and walk around Mendoza, but this time not with partners, friends or his children, as on other occasions, but with his girlfriend, the Peruvian Milett Figueroa.
Catena Zapata was precisely the winery chosen by Marcelo and Milett to visit as soon as they got off the private plane that brought them from Buenos Aires to the western province.
Upon arriving at “the Pyramid”, as the famous winery is colloquially known, Alejandro Vigil was the one who personally received the couple. Vigil was in charge of telling them the history of the emblematic wine house and the Catena family, going through the origins of the winery, the achievements of Nicolás Catena, who is considered one of the fathers of Argentine viticulture, the important discoveries made. through the Catena Institute of wine and the revolutionary wines and label designs. Maxi Mastrángelo -Universo Vigil- and Nesti Bajda -Catena Zapata- joined the tour, and the tour ended in Angélica, the elegant and sophisticated restaurant located on the winery grounds. There they tasted the complete step experience, which was absolutely praised by Marce and Milett. “They are totally in love. They didn’t stop pampering each other, giving each other knowing looks, and they did the entire visit hand in hand,” a diner who was in the place and couldn’t stop looking at them confided to MDZ.
“She is divine. Incredible Milett. Friendly, good-natured, and also very attentive: she was super interested in everything they told her regarding the wine industry,” added one of the girls on the winery staff. A little pearl? To honor Milett and her Peruvian roots, they specially made her a silverside ceviche, which they incorporated into the gastronomic experience. “Guys broke it! I loved it!” Figueroa is said to have said.
The couple will continue walking in Mendoza, and they promise to continue putting into practice that verb invented by the people of Mendoza: “bodeguear.”
