Cacho Garay He would receive house arrest in the next few hours. The comedian is still imprisoned in the San Felipe de Mendoza prison, and receives news that he would be released under these specific conditions due to health problems.
Garay has been in prison since July 2023 after being denounced for Veronica Maciashis ex-partner, for gender violence and sexual abuse.
The news was announced by Pablo Layús on Intrusos (América TV): “They have just confirmed to me that there is a good chance that Cacho Garay could be granted house arrest. His state of health has worsened greatly. Verónica Macías’ lawyers tell me that they would be willing to grant him that possibility so that he can reach the proper trial.”
Garay is depressed and lost more than 20 kilos, as revealed through the photo leaked last March. On that date, the comedian had started a hunger strike. Furthermore, his lawyer demanded from that date that he be hospitalized due to the deterioration of his health in prison: “He has prostate cancer and cardiological problems.”
The trial date is not yet known because “There is a moment that has to do with the psychological tests that were also carried out on Verónica and to determine and for the judge to set a date”added the journalist in the program hosted by Flor de la V.
