A new moment of anecdotes and humor took place in The perfect nightthe new cycle commanded by Sebastian Wainraich in El Trece. The guest on this occasion was the comedian Campiwho displayed all his ingenuity before the host and the panel, by revealing hidden moments from his past as well as his present in the theater with the play Waiting for the carriage. However, one of the points that caught the most attention was the reference to a daily event in which his wife was involved, Denise Dumas.
Halfway through the talk, the driver consulted him directly: ““Did you ever operate on Denise for a cavity?”. When answered in the affirmative, Wainraich warned with a laugh. “Don’t do this at home, you have to be a licensed dentist.” And before delving into the anecdote, Campi recalled that he himself makes the dentures and wigs for his characters.
“She had a cavity hurt, and I tell her to open her mouth, and Denise has a mouth that big, so I go in and I told him that I can fix that and I asked him if he could handle it and he said yes,” the impersonator summarized the genesis of the events. He even explained that he had the necessary tools for the task. “I have a lathe, I have everything in my house.” So he fixed the problem in the tooth and even put acrylic on it and cleaned it to get complete care.
But the anecdote did not stop there, since the guest reported that, some time later, his wife visited a professional who endorsed his work. “She went to the dentist to get a cleaning and says ‘why don’t you fix this cavity?‘ And he says ‘but you have it fixed’. She replied, ‘ah, yes, but my husband made it for me.’ And he, surprised, said ‘but she is perfect, she still has it’”, causing laughter throughout the studio.
In a recent interview with TeleshowCampi reflected on loneliness and company, in a relationship with Dumas that has been going on for 20 years: “I wanted to be a truck driver. There was something about this ‘being alone’ that was very attractive. I imagined driving the routes, very calm, with good music and enjoying our landscapes of the North or South. In fact, I tried to get my truck driving license, but I couldn’t get anyone to lend me one for the test,” he said in dialogue with journalist Sebastián Soldano. “I always looked for my silences and my moments of retreat… And Even today I am a good plan for myself, and it is something more than what makes my 19-year marriage to Denise so beautiful.”
At this point, he referred to the beginning of the love story: “More than 20 years ago, life had forced me not to give up on love. I preferred a good book to a night of bowling.
