The world of French music and culture says goodbye to one of its great voices: Françoise Hardy. The iconic singer of the French chanson of the 60s has died this June 11 at the age of 80after a long battle against the disease.
His son, Thomas Dutronc, was in charge of announcing the sad news through Instagram. Hardy had publicly called for the legalization of euthanasia in order to have a dignified death, an issue he had raised directly with President Emmanuel Macron.
Françoise Hardy, along with figures such as Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin, He became one of the great icons of the 60s in France. Throughout her career, she released around thirty albums and established herself as a muse and artist.
