The renowned actor and director José María Muscari shared intimate details about his relationship with Pike, the 16-year-old boy whom he adopted two years ago. This morning on the show American breakfast, Muscari opened his heart about the challenges and joys of living day to day as an adoptive parent.

The theater director admitted that his bond with Lucio, his son from Corrientes, is a special experience: “In my case, imagine that it is a very atypical relationship because you reach your children’s adolescence with a well-trodden path. In our case it is all new. For a teenager it is very hard to be without his friends and for me it is very strange to suddenly have a teenage son.”Muscari explained.

“Lucio is the best”Muscari added and acknowledged that his adopted son’s adolescence presents moments of friction that are typical of this stage of life. “We have to set limits.”stated the actor, suggesting that discipline and routine are key to maintaining a healthy family relationship.

In addition, Muscari spoke about the possibility of Lucio regaining contact with his biological parents. “I would have no doubt that the biological parents want to reconnect”expressed and explained that, after having been educated on the subject, he considers that it would be the best for the boy.
