This June 17, Don Omar caused a stir on social networks by sharing a photography on his Instagram where it indicated it was battling cancer. Although he did not delve much into the subject, nor did he specify the type of cancer he suffers from, artists and fans left their messages of encouragement in the urban artist’s publication.

However, on the morning of Tuesday, June 18, he added another publication to his profile, in which he stated that his operation was a success and that he is ready to recover.
“Today I woke up cancer-free and grateful. Thank you for your good wishes, prayers and thousands of messages. My operation was a success and now I have to recover,” Don Omar published.

The comments from his colleagues in the genre, the entertainment world and fans have not been long in coming, expressing their happiness and predicting his speedy recovery. He next concert of his “Back to Reggaeton” tour is scheduled for August 7 in Oakland. It is unknown if it will be maintained or modified, since the artist has not expressed any changes to his agenda.
