Some days ago, Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Don Omarannounced on social networks that he was going to undergo surgery to remove a type of cancer he had.
His followers and the media in general were concerned about the news, since the photo that accompanied the message showed the ‘Dile’ singer’s hand with a handle from the Orlando Health Hospital, well-known center specialized in oncological treatments.
Several of his followers and colleagues in the genre sent him messages of support such as the Colombian Goyo from Choquibtown, Lucenzo, Dímelo Flow, J Alvárez, among others.
One of his great competitors in the urban genre and with whom Don Omar was in musical disputes for years was Daddy Yankeewho after hearing the news did not hesitate to also send him a message.

There were many reactions to the publication, given that, as previously mentioned, the two artists had always had unpleasant encounters due to their constant competition to be number one in the genre.
Many remembered that in 2016, the two artists headed together on a tour in which the public would decide who was the best, which did not end in the best way because Don Omar decided to step aside on only the second date of the tour.
At the time, this meant a great economic loss for both of them, which is why an explanation from Don Omar was expected for such a performance.
The singer assured at the time that he had withdrawn from ‘The Kingdom’ tour, after having noticed some ‘manipulations’ on the part of Yankee, who supposedly sought to discredit him in the media.
Faced with this situation, the singers distanced themselves even more, until in December 2023, they left their differences behind and decided to ‘bring the party in peace’.

After the surgery, Don Omar told his networks that it had been successful: “my operation was a success and now I have to recover,” he assured, in addition to the fact that the dates of his next tour are still on.
