Gustavo Ángel asked the Virgin of Guadalupe for help: “She saved me”

Throughout his life, Colombian actor Gustavo Ángel Acosta has faced health problems with his kidney, something that affected him since he was a child. At the time when his health was most affected, being an adult and harming his work, He entrusted himself to the Virgin of Guadalupe to recover and, he assures, she listened to him.

In Se Dice De Mí the actor revealed that he found out about his kidney problems in Medellín, when he was on a school excursion and, while playing soccer with his classmates, he had an accident. “I had a narrow duct in my kidney and it became blocked and that’s where my kidney problem started. “That gave me stones, an infection, I don’t have a kidney but a quarry.”.

The health problem began to occur constantly at different times in his life, until it became more serious when he was in one of the best moments of his career, acting in the soap opera So close and yet so far.

“I was full of work and I wasn’t going to stop, I started with kidney pain and the doctor told me ‘I have to operate’, but “I wasn’t going to have surgery, I was going to continue like this until the series ended.”, he recalled. When he returned to Colombia and underwent the respective medical check-ups, the situation was no longer so serious, something that He and those close to him have described it as a miracle. “They took all the tests and the doctor told me: ‘Gustavo, his kidney has ducts like concrete, but they are open, if I break all that, his kidney will work.’ “That doctor saved my kidney and there it is, it works perfectly.”.
