He thriller science fiction starring Malena Sanchez and Sofia Gala It had the contribution of INCAA. -When Guillermo Francella expressed that the first measures of Javier Milei’s government were necessary, there were several artists who came out to cross him. What opinion do you have about this?

-That is Francella’s look and she has always had it. I’m against that look, yes, but it doesn’t surprise me. She has every right to express herself like any citizen, you have to respect it and I am not going to go into confrontation because everyone thinks and expresses their point of view. He believes that he builds from that logic and it seems to me that it is fine for his point of view. In that sense, I wouldn’t expect anything else from Guillermo. Because he, I believe, belongs to that logic of construction of identity, space, profession, market and politics.

-How do you feel about the harassment that actors receive, for example on social networks, after expressing themselves against the Government?

They want to discipline a group, but actors, actresses and artists in general have always been the reflection of a time in which we lived. Many people standing on the bank on the other side of the river have been bothered by our ways of seeing and living politics. It seems that we do not have a political conviction or ideology. Sometimes it coincides with the government in power, other times it doesn’t. It seems that the artist has to be a simple entertainer and that cannot be expressed. I celebrate that a singer like Lali can be expressed, or Joaquin Furriel receiving an award in Malaga, or Ricardo Darin. I am glad to have the opportunity to be talking about this topic. When those threads, those projections, touch, there is a short circuit. And it will continue to exist as long as they continue to harass us.

-What view do you have on the debates around Argentine cinema and the INCAA?

The INCAA has to exist. You have to continue proposing and producing things. It has to continue contributing to the holding of festivals to have screens and so that these small films can also be seen in different spaces. Film producers are the ones who somehow have to start working on it, they are the ones who carry out a project. Actors and actresses are the ones who put our body, soul, spirit, convictions and ideas. But the cinema, with the help of INCAA, has to continue contributing a part and the rest, as the law is stated, has to contribute a part of what corresponds to carry out the project. And obviously have the exception of those first operas by young authors so that they have the possibility of building a cinematographic universe with a contribution.
