My last name should be Villamil, because my father’s last name was Villamil, but unfortunately at that time it was not used, it was not fashionable to give the last name to children who were out of wedlock.so my mother fortunately gave me the last name González and with that I had and with that I have more than enough,” confessed Pedro Antonio González, better known as Don Jediondo.

Pedro Antonio was born in Sutamarchán, Boyacá, with a mother who was the head of the family, who raised her seven children alone. “She alone raised seven children, she was a single mother, what today I would call a mother who was the head of the household, at the end of the fence, because at that time the fence and the flip-flop, the belt, whatever,” she stated.

At the age of seven, Don Jediondo understood that to get ahead he had to work hard. On Fridays, instead of going to school, he would accompany his mother to sell masato and empanadas. At 16 years old, Pedro Antonio left home to seek new opportunities in Bogotá.
