Fue en en mayo de este año, cuando se estrenó You Can’t Run Forever, película que unió a la destacada actriz chilena Fernanda Urrejola con el ganador del Óscar Jonathan Kimble Simmons.

En la cinta dirigida por Michelle Schumacher, la actriz de 42 años trabajó junto al estadounidense que dio vida al protagonista de la película, encarnando a un asesino.

“Fue increíble”, expresó Fernanda Urrejola en una entrevista con el diario El Mercurio. Aún así, explicó que al inicio no fue sencilla la relación con su colega.

In the conversation, the Chilean actress commented on her first impressions upon meeting the famous North American performer.

“At first, I was scared to death. His character is a crazy killer. At that stage, he did not want to develop a relationship of trust between us, because the scenes that touched us were very strong,” he assured.

“Luckily, I already had a relationship with the director (Michelle Schumacher), who is his wife. Afterwards we had time to get to know him off the set,” added the Chilean.

Along these lines, he highlighted how this relationship, after the recordings, helped him get to know Oscar JK Simmons.

“If not, I would have been left with a very strange feeling. The friendship and the friendly moment came after making the film,” explained Urrejola.

In relation to how it came to You Can’t Run Forever, Fernanda explained that she carried out a telematic casting during the pandemic. After a few months, Urrejola was contacted by the director.

“She asked me to do the scene again and, when I finished, she was crying. She told me: ‘I want it to be you’. I was jumping on one leg”he recalled.

These days, Fernanda and her partner, Francisca Alegría, are working on the television adaptation of the book. The House of Spiritsby Isabel Allende.

This future miniseries was written by both of them and is about to be filmed. “There is a lot of anxiety and a lot of nervousness, but also a lot of happiness. The team that is being put together is incredible,” he said.
