This morning a historic event was marked in Casablanca: the last patient was transferred from the Medicine and Emergency Unit of the old San José Hospital to the new facilities of this health establishment.
The closing milestone included the participation of the directors of the Valparaíso-San Antonio Health Service (SSVSA) and of this family and community care facility, Cristián Gálvez and Juan Correa (s), respectively, who, together with the collaboration of Carabineros and Firefighters carried out this act that represents the end of a cycle and the beginning of another that will benefit the hospital network in the region.
”We shared with the officials the process of change, of arrival of the patients who were hospitalized in the old facility. It is a historic day for the commune. It is with great joy that we are experiencing this change, the process of opening a new establishment where our main concern will be to improve the quality and safety conditions of all the patients treated here,” said Gálvez.
While Correa commented that “we are in a historic event, closing this section of the San José de Casablanca Hospital. We have begun the transfer of the last patient, therefore we hope that this new phase of the hospital will be of better quality and dignity for all the inhabitants of this commune.”
It should be noted that last Monday, starting at 08:00, the San José de Casablanca Hospital opened the doors of its new facilities to the community after completing the health authorization processes by the Regional Ministerial Secretariat (Seremi). of health. Very early on, the officials of this facility received the users who were transferred from the old hospital unit, located in the center of the city, by vehicles provided by this establishment.
In this way, this week the openings of: Primary Care (PHC) and the Emergency and Medicine units (hospitalized) were made, located on Juan Verdaguer Street No. 122.
