Two former nurses from the neonatology area of ​​the Rosario Children’s Sanatorium They were arrested by the Investigative Police (PDI) for the alleged abuse of babies by using unindicated medication.

The police operations were carried out in different directions, achieving the capture of the women identified as Yanina B. and Analía B.

It is expected that in the next few hours they will give their testimony before prosecutor Viviana O’Connell, facing charges of illegal practice of medicine and abandonment of person.

The investigation began in 2022 when a colleague of the nurses alerted the sanatorium about complaints from parents about the treatment received by their children.

From there, a formal complaint was made that led to the investigation. Women were suspected of supplying psychotropic drugs for sleep to the babies during their night shifts.

The situation was reported to Public Prosecutor’s Office, which requested a raid on the Children’s Sanatorium in March last year. During the procedure, carried out at 800 Alvear Street, documentation was seized and testimonial statements were taken.

After collecting evidence for a long time, the prosecutor ordered intelligence tasks to be carried out at the homes of the former nurses, who were finally arrested and their mobile phones were confiscated.
