The Soria Health Care Management (GASSO) held today, in the assembly hall of the Santa Bárbara Hospital, the annual welcome event for the professionals who will undergo their training as internal medicine residents in the capital of Soria, for a period of two to five years. Similarly, Nursing and Psychology professionals have been received, who have passed the EIR and PIR exam, and are joining the medical center’s specialization staff. The ceremony also hosted a farewell for those who have completed their resident stay at the hospital.

Doctors have been able to choose a place among the six specialties offered by the hospital, including Urology, Radiodiagnosis, Family and Community Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. Among the new additions are four MIRs from Family and Community Medicine, one in Internal Medicine, one in Intensive Medicine, one in Urology, one in Radiodiagnosis, one in Occupational Medicine and one in Psychiatry. Likewise, 9 professionals in Family and Community Nursing and one more in Mental Health are integrated into the staff as residents. To the above, a resident in Clinical Psychology is added.

In addition, this year four internal resident doctors (MIR) have completed their residency. One in Urology, another in Occupational Medicine and two in Hospital Care (one in Internal Medicine and another in Intensive Care). Many of the medical professionals have shown their interest in continuing to provide services at the Soria Health Care Management through loyalty contracts that will be formalized in the coming weeks. In the month of September, eleven specialists in Family and Community Medicine will do so. Also 14 resident intern nurses (EIR), specialists in Family and Community Nursing, complete their training.

The event was led by José Luis Vicente, manager of Health Care of Soria, Marta León, Medical Director of Hospital Care and Luis Eduardo Enríquez and Eduardo Ladrón, as heads of Hospital and Primary Care studies.
