The Minister of Economy and Public Services, Roberto Dib Ashur, received the deputy for Cafayate, Patricio Diaperin order to discuss different aspects that contribute to the growth of the town of Cafayate.

Firstly, the authorities discussed the Scholarship Law for medical students from the interior of the province, in order to reactivate and be able to include the initiative in the budget next year, through the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Economy and the UNSA, to be able to provide training and preparation to children from the interior for entry into a career in medicine.

“This is a law that we approved in 2022 in Deputies, which later went to Senators and was approved, what is missing is the regulations, which is what we have been asking for, that progress be made in that sense, and like any scholarship law You need a budget. The objective is that more children from the interior can access a career in medicine through financial aid. We know that more and more students are from the capital or around the capital and fewer are from the interior. We want to provide them with training and we want to provide them with financial aid because they are kids who have to move from the interior to the capital, they have to rent, they have to pay for food, beyond their studies, what we are looking for with this is to have more doctors from the interior who study medicine. , more doctors from the interior who can receive medical training, always hoping that later those doctors can return to their payments and be able to fill that void that we always have left with the lack of doctors and specialists from the interior,” said Peñalba.

Another issue that the authorities also discussed was the problem with the Cafayate municipal landfill, and public works, in terms of schools in Cafayate that were left unfinished as a result of the change of government and also the reactivation of 97 homes.
