“Mental well-being is an increasingly important concern for American workers, which means it is also true for American employers. Initiatives promoting mental health are becoming increasingly integrated into workplace policies, with strategies such as greater access to counseling and stress reduction workshops, as flexible arrangements become more common to support work balance. and personal life,” says the Newsweek report.
According to a survey last year by the American Psychological Association, 92% of respondents said that It is very or somewhat important that a company values your emotional and psychological well-being. But more than half of workers surveyed (55%) felt that their employer thinks their workplace is “much healthier mentally” than it really is.
Newsweek’s ranking is based on an evaluation of public data, feedback from human resources executives at companies with more than 1,000 employees, and an anonymous panel of human resources professionals to Identify factors that drive employee satisfaction.
