The intervention, which took place in February 2024, was performed in a practice registered as “Glamor Micropigmentation BY Neyla” and not as a plastic surgery center. During the procedure, which lasted five hours, the young man remained conscious on a dental table: “No one introduced themselves as an anesthesiologist, but they did inject me with medication to prevent localized pain.” Even, The affected foreigner revealed that once the procedure was performed, right next to the curtain, the staff was eating and counting money, which increased doubts about the site’s reputation and hygiene conditions.

“When I saw all this, it made me distrustful, it was already too late, my face had an incision. There was nothing left to do but wait for the results, and they were the worst,” he said. Indeed, after the operation, the condition of the Ecuadorian’s nose worsened, which led him to investigate and discover irregularities in the office. Neyla Gutiérrez, the supposed surgeon, attributed the problem to a rejection of the graft by the patient’s body.

Desperate and in a foreign country, the young man tried to find explanations for the situation. He discovered that the Glamor Micropigmentation BY Neyla office, registered with Chamber and Commerce as a “hair salon and other beauty treatments”, and although he was not authorized for major surgical procedures, he is “to perform minor procedures,” according to the response he received when consulting the Medellín Health and Services Tower. The Ministry of Health was not aware of asepsis problems in the establishment, which aggravates the situation of the affected young man.

Likewise, the journalistic team of the aforementioned magazine learned that “on Saturdays he usually works in Medellín; Then, on Wednesdays, she attends in Barranquilla, and the rest of the days, in Cali”, in these cities, the woman rents offices paying an approximate value of $200,000.

Week also revealed that Neyla Gutiérrez, designated as an esthetician and facial doctor, is of Venezuelan nationality and has an immigration card; Furthermore, she is not listed as a member of the Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, nor is she authorized in the Single National Registry of Human Talent in Health. Currently, Gutiérrez has not been located, and the victim assures that he has not been given diplomas or documents that prove his professional capacity in cosmetic surgeries.
