After having made some cameos in different productions, ‘Dad by surprise’ marks the singer’s first leading role Amy Gutierrezwho will share roles with the talented Spanish actor and producer Gonzalo Ramos. In addition, little Almudena García joins the production, who ventures into the big screen.
This project, originally conceived for Portugal, found a new home and a new story in the Peruvian lands, carried out in the city of Arequipa, thanks to Gonzalo Ramos’ passionate interest in the country and its culture.

10 years after his only success in music, David Zarco (Gonzalo Ramos) is in the most precarious moment of his career: He owes a fortune to the record company that signed him at the time, and he has just discovered that he has nothing more and nothing less than a ten-year-old daughter… On the other side of the Atlantic, in Peru.
Toni Molder, the head of the record company, gives him an ultimatum: He has to relaunch his career by selling the story of how he meets his daughter. David, between a rock and a hard place, suddenly finds himself in the middle of Arequipa to fulfill his mission, accompanied by Fede, the production company’s clumsiest employee.
There, he finally meets Luna, his ten-year-old daughter. In addition, he meets Sol, the girl’s mother. Gonzalo Ramosrenowned Spanish actor, has consolidated his career in the acting field since his first appearance on the big screen in 2004 with the film ‘The Signalman’. Since then, he has participated in renowned series such as ‘MIR’, ‘Los hombres de Paco’ and ‘Hospital Central’, acquiring a notable presence on national television. However, it was his role as Julio in the Antena 3 series, ‘Física o Química’, that marked a before and after in his career, positioning himself as a prominent figure in the industry since 2008.
Ramos extended his acting versatility by participating in the film ‘There Be Dragons‘ (You will find dragons), under the direction of Roland Joffe in 2011, the year in which he also made his theater debut with ‘The 80s are ours’ alongside Alex Barahonahis partner in ‘Physics or chemistry‘. That same period allowed him to join the cast of ‘Amar en tiempo revueltos’, playing Alberto Cepeda and Carlos Robledo in the seventh season of the series broadcast by TVE until 2012. His skills also led him to be part of the international production ‘Titanic: Blood And Steel’ as Raphael Garzón in 2013, standing out as the only Spanish performer in this project.
Over the years, Gonzalo Ramos has not only strengthened his presence on television, but has also explored the field of directing with his short film ‘Super Yo’, winner of the award for Best Male Performance at the Plasencia En Corto International Festival in 2014. In the same year, he took roles in ‘Blind to appointments’ and expanded his international experience with BBC One’s ‘The Interceptor’, cementing his position as a versatile talent both on stage and behind the camera.
