The singer clarifies that the incident was caused by an injury to her ankle and she criticizes the paramedics’ response, calling it harassment. American singer Britney Spears spoke out after the aforementioned incident at the renowned Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. The events that occurred in the early hours of Thursday, May 2, involved her companion, Paul Richard Soliz, and an ambulance that approached the establishment. Although, the paparazzi – who photographed the singer wearing short pajamas, and with signs of having been crying – reported that a physical fight had occurred; The artist gave her version and downplayed the event.

Contrary to initial reports, Spears clarified through her Instagram profile — followed by more than 42 million users — that an ankle injury was the real trigger for the nighttime controversy.
“Just to let people know. The news is fake! I would like people to know that I get stronger every day,” she wrote on Instagram.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed a 911 call requesting medical assistance for an injured adult woman at the scene. The tabloid’s sources had reported an argument that alarmed guests at the accommodation. However, in her new post, Spears criticized the paramedics’ presence in her home, describing it as an act of harassment and far from the confrontational narrative that some media outlets had outlined. “The night before I sprained my ankle, and the paramedics showed up illegally at my door. They never came into my room but I felt completely harassed,” she alleged.
Five hours after denying the fight, Spears showed her swollen ankle in a pair of videos and launched accusations against her mother, Lynne Spears. “I know my mother was involved! I haven’t spoken to her in six months and she called right after it happened, before the news broke! They set me up just like her a long time ago!!! I wish I had grandparents! I can’t stand her! Honestly, I don’t care, I’ll say it!!!”, she wrote on her social media.
Although Spears recently seemed to be taking steps towards a reconciliation with her mother after a long estrangement, her recent statements suggest one more bump in this process.
