May 4th may be a normal day, however, for Star Wars fans it is special, as it celebrates the “May the 4th”.

This year, it coincides with another particular event related to the saga, and it is the premiere of “Star Wars: Tales of the Empire”.

And George Lucas’ franchise has been growing since it was acquired by Disney in 2012. Along with a new trilogy, which had bad reviews from fans, in addition to streaming series, the intergalactic saga has expanded to their stories.

Today you can even see movies and series that can work in a particular way, without the need to have some of the main actors, who have even been recreated with CGI, as a young man. Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian or leia in The Rise of Skywalker.

What is Tales of the Empire about?

It is a miniseries of animated shorts that show another side of the empire, further removed from politics and focused on the personal conflicts of two well-known characters: Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee.

Let us remember that during the first delivery of Star Wars: Tales of Jedi, it was possible to learn more about the history of Count Dooku and his passage to the dark side of the force. The beginnings of a young Ahsoka Tano and her training as a Jedi alongside Anakin Skywalker were also shown.

This series, which also works in a particular way, focuses more than on the intergalactic problem of the Republic V / s the Empire, in the personal problems of these two characters and how they ended up taking a path marked by darkness.

In fact, you can see other well-known characters, such as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Darth Vader.

What will we see?

On the one hand, as we mentioned previously, there is Morgan Elsbeth, where she is shown from her beginnings as a young warrior, until ends up working with Thrawn.

On the other hand, we have the history of Barriss Offeea former Jedi who became one of Ahsoka’s closest friends when they were both Padawans.

Her story picks up after she was imprisoned for attacking a temple of the order. In the series she can be seen how he approached the dark side and subsequent redemption. Although it was believed that he died during Order 66, in Tales of the Empire it can be seen that this was not the case.
