The famous Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez, considered one of the best lyrical singers in the world and the main artistic reference of our country abroad, is preparing to offer an outstanding concert next Saturday, June 15 at 8:00 pm at the Great National Theater.

This event will have the special participation of the Youth Orchestra Symphony for Peru, group made up of 76 young musicians and led by Flórez since its founding thirteen years ago.

This way, Juan Diego Florez will return to the most important stage in the country with an extraordinary musical proposal. The evening promises a selection of universal classical works created by notable composers such as Giuseppe Verdi, Charles Gounod and Vincenzo Bellini; in addition to a range of compositions by the renowned Peruvian singer-songwriter Chabuca Granda.

All this under the direction of the Colombian maestro Ana María Patiño-Osorio, first assistant conductor of the traditional Suisse Romande orchestra based in Geneva, Switzerland.

The award-winning performer, Juan Diego Flórez, developed an impressive international career that has taken him to the most prestigious stages around the world, including the La Scala Theater in Milan, Italy, and the Metropolitan Opera House in New York.

In addition to being considered a world opera star and having a successful artistic career, Flórez has demonstrated a strong commitment to philanthropy, distinguished by his generosity, charisma and musical passion, managing to offer symphonic concerts or record album productions.

All this is reflected, in particular, through his work with Symphony for Peru, an organization founded and chaired by the tenor Juan Diego Flórez, dedicated to free musical education for children, adolescents and young people in various regions of Peru.

It also seeks to promote culture and art, generating development opportunities, promoting positive values, strengthening transferable skills and promoting responsible citizenship. These processes allow us to build medium-term life plans with autonomy and successful trajectories.

Symphony for Peru celebrates 13 years of significant contributions to social development through music, offering free artistic education and generating opportunities for children and young people. The organization has several core groups and special programs aimed at the inclusion of people with disabilities. In the coming months, new offices are expected to open in the south of the country, expanding the scope of its positive influence.

Ticket sales for this concert are now available through Joinnus. It is important to highlight that the show will have a charitable focus and the Funds raised will be used entirely to finance the musical education programs of Sinfonía por el Perúwhich have benefited more than 6,400 participants in more than 30 training centers in ten regions of the country since 2011.

The group of young beneficiaries is organized into 18 nuclei, four modules and four central groups, three Lutter Workshops and three headquarters of the Special Education Program that houses children and young people with various disabilities and conditions.
