For the second time, one of the most popular children’s characters in Nickelodeon will jump to live action format. Dora the explorer, the brave and curious girl who carries a backpack on her back, comes to life again in a new live action production. Lorraine’s casting as Dora marks a new chapter in the story of this beloved character, following in the footsteps of Isabella Mercedwho starred in the 2019 adaptation titled Dora and the Lost City.
To direct the film, Nickelodeon and Paramount+ have called on Alberto Belli, a director with previous experience in family and youth projects such as The Naughty Nine from Disney+ and Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion.
