Last Saturday, June 1, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence arrived in Mexico City for the long-awaited premiere of Bad Boys: Until Deathhis most recent film.

Prior to meeting their fans and the press, both actors began their media tour. Among which his participation with Alex Montiel, better known as the Golden Scorpion. Smith and Lawrence hopped into the content creator’s van for one more episode of “Golden Scorpion at the Wheel”.

The “Bad Boys” had fun with the influencer testing his Spanish, since Will revealed that this language is the one he speaks the most. Likewise, both actors spoke about the good friendship that exists between them, since the camaraderie goes beyond cinema. “We are like friends, relatives because most of the things we talk about are off camera… where we tell each other about the children and the family. We have each other”commented the rapper.

“These movies have been like pillars in our life because we have been together for 30 years and we have known each other for more than half of our lives.”

About Bad Boys, Smith pointed out that this installment would be the best of the series and revealed why they decided to film a new one 30 years after the first film was released. “We promised ourselves we wouldn’t make another Bad Boys movie if we didn’t feel like we had something new to offer people. (…) This time there were more things to saymore things to explore,” he said.

The talk flowed quite well during the 26 minutes that the video lasted on the YouTube platform, the actors opened up to the Golden Scorpion about various personal topics. They even laughingly remembered their first movies together and it was then that the Mexican influencer showed them the Spanish version of “The Prince of rap”, the series that brought Will Smith world fame.

In the vehicle the intro of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Airto which a very surprised Smith responded, “In all these years, I’ve never heard of it.”

Finally, the rapper confessed that he would like to film a film entirely in Spanish and stated that he would also be delighted to work with Guillermo del Toro or with Cuaron.

The first installment of Bad Boys was released in 1995 and quickly became a box office hit. The plot follows two Miami narcotics detectives, Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence), as they attempt to recover a quantity of stolen drugs. The chemistry between the protagonists and the intense action sequences have made this film a classic of the genre. The franchise has several sequels, with “Bad Boys II” (2003) and “Bad Boys for Life” (2020) being the most notable.
