The provincial government announced that the School Infrastructure Emergency Plan will begin to be applied with the repair of 50 schools that are compromised in building matters. In addition, it is planned to prepare a census that details the state of the institutions.

In this context, the governor, Rogelio Frigerio, said: “Now that we sort out the debt and the disorder that we found in the Infrastructure area, we are generating a plan that starts with the 50 schools in the worst condition.”

The provincial leader explained that this first approach will continue with an already defined plan that will be applied in all schools “to reach the end of the year and the new school year in a different way than we had to receive this problem” and it was detailed that the Investment reaches 200 million pesos per month.

On the other hand, the provincial government provided details about the digital census that will be carried out to know the state of educational establishments in the Entre Ríos territory: “It is a fundamental step to improve the conditions of our schools from now on,” Frigerio explained. and noted: “Without a network of schools in good condition there is no quality public education or equality in access to education.” The census will have the objective of generating precise metrics to have a real knowledge of the facilities and systematize relevant quantitative and qualitative data to make strategic decisions for the benefit of students and teachers.

The initiative will be carried out jointly with the General Council of Education, the Directorate of Statistics and Census, the Ministry of Planning, the Provincial Execution Unit, the Administrative Commission for the Salto Grande Special Fund, local governments and educational institutions. Finally, Frigerio announced that meetings will be held with professional associations and universities “so that they can contribute their perspective, knowledge and experience to this census.”
