The tragic episode unfolded quickly, as the Miami police were alerted at 3:22 p.m. and only twelve minutes later, at 3:34 p.m., he was declared dead at the same place. At the scene, the police confiscated a significant amount of drug consumption utensils, suggesting regular and varied substance use by the Italian.

This incident draws attention not only for the personal tragedy, but also for the dangerous appearance of the benzo-drug, a mixture of fentanyl and bromazolam that is claiming lives across the United States, according to a 2023 report from the National Library of Medicine. This cocktail of drugs enhances the effects on the respiratory system, often causing fatal outcomes.

A brief romance in 2005

Liuzzo had maintained a romantic relationship with Princess Beatrice, daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, which began in 2005, when she was 17 years old and he was 24. Despite the controversy over the age difference, Beatriz’s parents approved the marriage. relationship, and even included Liuzzo on the family vacation to Switzerland.

However, the romance between the two young men ended in 2006, less than a year after it began, after it was discovered that this trip was a violation of Liuzzo’s parole.

Before his relationship with the princess, Liuzzo had had legal problems in the United States, where he was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter after a fight, although his sentence was later reduced to assault causing injury, with him serving 100 hours of community service.
