Alejandro told how the “love crush” with Francis occurred at MALBA

The unexpected crush between Francis (34) and Alexander (45) at the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA) occurred during the afternoon of Wednesday, May 29. They both met at the artist Remedios Varo’s exhibition and after exchanging a few glances, his clumsiness served as an excuse to start a fleeting conversation; without imagining that it would be the kickoff of a promising love story that went viral.

“When I approach one of the paintings to see it in more detail, I don’t realize that she wanted to take a photo of it. I apologized for having crossed my path and in the process I took advantage of the opportunity to exchange a few words with her,” Alejandro told Infobae.

“I told ‘do you know the artist?‘. I had never heard of her until last year, when I saw her in Mexico City. The funny thing is that she answered me that she was from Mexico City and that was the beginning of the conversation,” recalled this Colombian photographer and travel blogger who has been living in Argentina for two months.

Since some friends were waiting for Francis, she quickened her pace and got lost among the people. Each one continued exploring the museum separately and when they met again at another time he found another excuse to come closer. He asked him if he had seen anything interesting that was worth missing.

Alejandro is originally from Bogotá, Colombia, but has been living in Buenos Aires for two months.

“My idea was to invite her for coffee or something. I understood that she was staying in Buenos Aires for a few more days and when I went to look for her I couldn’t find her. I stood for a while at the museum door but “I didn’t see her again.” the Colombian resigned.

Upon returning to Mexico, Francis told her friends that she had met “someone special” at MALBA but that she had no way to contact him. because phone numbers had never been exchanged. And that’s where it all started, with a Mexican friend as a “celestina”.

The young woman entered the museum’s Instagram and wrote a long message to help her find the Colombian’s whereabouts: “Hello MALBA team. I am writing to you because I need your help to find someone. I have a friend who just returned from Buenos Aires and she told me that during her visit to MALBA she met a boy with light brown hair who seemed very interesting to her.”

The MALBA post looking for Alejandro went viral

He specified that it was “a Colombian who is in Buenos Aires doing a home office” and that that day “he was wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans.” She said that her friend “thought she would meet him again at the end of the tour” and that she “planned to exchange information with him then, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.”

To everyone’s surprise, MALBA joined the cause and published on its networks -on Saturday the 9th- the messages that Francis’ friend had sent along with the phrase: “Alejandro, we are looking for you.”

A day later, the Colombian reported: “Hello @museomalba, my friend showed me this post and I am Alejandro
